Gilbarco Inc. d/b/a Gilbarco Veeder-Root (“Gilbarco”) is seeking
Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Greensboro, North Carolina. Duties: Define, develop and deploy embedded software for
embedded payment systems. Participate in all phases of product development,
including requirements gathering, design, implementation, validation,
release and maintenance. Specific duties include: define, analyze, and
review software requirements for payment platforms and products; participate in
the definition, modification, and review of software architecture,
design, and interfaces; develop and debug software in accordance with design
and interface specifications; integrate and test software to confirm
compliance with specifications; install, test, and troubleshoot software;
contribute to customer defect tracking and resolution; provide mentoring to
junior engineers; and coordinate with cross-functional internal teams
to ensure satisfaction of end-users and customers. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent foreign
education) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
Information Technology or related field plus five (5) years of experience in
the job offered or five (5) years of embedded, multi-threaded software
development experience using Linux and C++. Must have demonstrated
proficiency in: Embedded, multi-threaded software development experience with
Linux and C++; Cross-platform development, debugging, and testing tools;
Object- oriented development; and Source control (e.g. svn). Employer
