Capital One's Commercial Bank looks for its leaders to demonstrate client focus, inspirational leadership, integrated problem-solving, and domain expertise. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, keen problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively with both external and internal clients. As a leader in a scaling team, the candidate must be open to change and idea sharing and assure that processes are accurate and well controlled.
Responsibilities:


  • Drive the ideation, development, and roll out of new technology, intelligent automation, and tactical process changes required to drive improvement in processing activities and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a team, including serving as a key point of escalation. Rapidly triage and escalate complex issues or non-compliance as appropriate.
  • Analyze deal structures, including documents and financials, while providing direction on the execution and structuring strategies.
  • Identify performance drivers, project future performance, and anticipate ability to repay debt; apply industry research across transactions and share key takeaways across the organization.
  • Identify and lead integration and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Deliver the needs of the business by executing with a high degree of learning agility and flexibility.
  • Exhibit a high level of professional presence with clients and peer teams and ability to target communication to the audience.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities with exceptional follow-up.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Influence and creatively solve problems with a high level of judgment.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
    • At least 7 years of People Management experience.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • At least 8 years of experience implementing or improving processes and associated controls.
      • At least 8 years of experience in financial services, sell-side banking, buy-side investing, corporate financial planning, corporate consulting, or data analytics.
      • At least 8 years of experience leading through change, including driving execution.
      • At least 8 years of experience with Commercial Banking Products including Loans, Treasury Management, or Capital Markets.

        This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Monday and Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual workdays. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
