• Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience & Arterial Line Management
• Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

  • Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed).
  • Average Daily Census 11-12
  • Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
  • PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Comprehensive stroke center. Patient population includes strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)
  • SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.
  • UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
  • SCHEDULING TYPE: Per the Unit Needs
  • UNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights
  • SCRUBS: Navy blue & White.

    • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year Experience
    • Traveler Experience: Unit Will Accept 1st Time Travelers
    • ***Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS***
    • ***Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for, this specialty***
    • ***MUST have 2 YEARS in NEURO ICU, IF NOT PLEASE REDIRECT***
    • ***STRONG Neuro Critical Care Background, not just general ICU. If they do not have, PLEASE DO NOT SEND!***

      • SHIFT: 36 Hours Can Be Offered
      • 12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
      • RTO: 7 days MAX for Aya Auto Offer
      • ***BLACK OUT DATES FOR HOLIDAY RTO: 11/24/2024 - 12/01/2024; 12/20/2024 - 01/05/2025; HARD STOP, NO EXCEPTIONS***
      • Call Requirement: NONE
      • Float Requirement: YES

          • RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR
