  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan Job Description: As a Psychiatrist at Reliatus Behavioral Health, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to our clients. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to provide a holistic approach to mental health treatment. Essential duties include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments/evaluations and mental status examinations (MSEs) of patients, providing multi-axial diagnoses according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) approved by the American Psychiatric Association; developing and implementing individualized mental health treatment planning for assigned child/adolescent patients; providing competent psychotropic medication treatment and other psychiatric treatments to meet the needs of assigned patients; performing related tasks as required. Your expertise will contribute to improving the well-being of individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges.
    We are searching for an adult psychiatrist for full-time inpatient work, no tele psych option available. Position duties include daily rounding on patients in the caseload, admission evaluations, treatment team leadership, discharge summaries, medication management and participation in call rotation.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing
    • Analyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patients
    • Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis
    • Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications
    • Develop a treatment plan, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as needed
    • Provide crisis intervention as needed
    • Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner
    • Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans
    • Coordinate and communicate with case managers and other stakeholders about treatment and care
      Job Qualifications:
      • Current and valid board certification in psychiatry
      • Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency
      • Licensed to practice medicine in North Carolina
      • Current DEA registration
      • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with current DSM criteria
      • Familiar with crisis assessment tools and techniques
      • Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices
