Job Description:

River Region Psychiatry Associates seeking a dedicated, board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist to join our team on a part-time, weekend basis. This role involves inpatient care at our 42-bed facility, covering three units dedicated to adult and geriatric patients. No emergency department duties are required, ensuring a focused and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality psychiatric care to adult and geriatric inpatients
• Collaborate closely with a team of skilled mid-level providers
• Conduct evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and care plans
• Ensure documentation and care standards are maintained Requirements:
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Valid medical license in the state of North Carolina
  • Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred, especially in adult and geriatric care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

      Requirements
      
      POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
      
      Education Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine - Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and/or Neurology
      
      Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in working with patient population hired to serve (child, adolescent, adult, or geriatric)
      
      License Current valid license in the respective State hired to serve with a current and unrestricted DEA registration
