Engineered Wood Lead Job Responsibilities:Responsible for supervision of Engineered Wood production crews, which includes, but is not limited to: safety, product quality, department workflow and manpower utilization, communication, and administering company policies and procedures. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement. Requires a strong commitment to and passion for safety and achieving a zero-incident goal.
Engineered Wood Lead Job Duties: - Cuts product to specifications - Build loads for delivery - Load and unload lumber and building supplies - Keeps lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe - Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group. - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations. - Previous experience using a saw for cutting lumber or materials, preferably in a lumber yard or similar. - Load / Unload trucks and make sure each delivery/inbound order or customer pick-up is 100% accurateRequirements: Preferred Qualifications: - High School diploma or general education degree (GED); - Or 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training with Lumber Yard/EWP - Forklift Qualified - Solid understanding of WMS-RFN - Inventory Control
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - Ability to lift 50 to 100lbs consistently - Ability to work overtime on short notice including evenings and weekends/holidays - Strong Attention to Detail - Basic Math Skills - General Knowledge of hand/ power tools - Ability to complete training requirements on assigned equipment (forklifts, tools, scan guns, tape measures and all required paperwork) - Ability to work in all weather conditions - Ability to work on your own or as a team concept without causing issues or disharmony to your team. - Ability to Follow Rules & Directions set by Team Leads, Supervisors & Manager
Wage:35-42k per year pendent on experience and OT worked
