Full-Time - Salary Non-Exempt - Onsite Purpose Perform daily testing on all aspects of medium power transformers and mobile substations in high voltage laboratory. Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Quality, Routine, Type & Special test testing to ensure product reliability to medium and large power transformers, Class I and Class II Power ratings up to 200 MVA base rating, Voltage ratings up to 230kV, 900kV BIL including: Autotransformers, Mobile Substations with Switchgear, Skid Transformers. Power Transformers are governed by IEEE C57.1200 and C57.12.90.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve test/setup/equipment problems.
• Maintain and repair test equipment as necessary.
• Follow testing methodologies and practices to meet industry standards and satisfy customer requirements. Specific Duties
  • Responsible for testing to ensure product reliability to medium and large power transformers, Class I and Class II power ratings up to 200 MVA base rating
  • Ensure ongoing adherence to internal and external standards. Utilize PC and necessary hand calculations to prepare files and forms for testing.
  • Perform control wiring functional testing as well as troubleshooting potential control issues. Education & Experience
    • Minimum Electrical Associate Degree.
    • Two (2) years equivalent experience, preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
      • Excellent analytical skills, computer literate, and have the ability to learn software programs.
      • Ability to learn and train, to interact on multi-department projects.
      • Recognize opportunities for improvement and take action.
      • Self-driven and task-oriented. Travel Requirements
